Here are some virtual communication tips the interns put together based on our summer experience:
- Keep your camera on
- Ask your mentors questions, don’t be afraid
- Join meetings on time and let the host know if you are going to be late
- Check slack/your email regularly, times and meetings are often changing
- Take notes during RIPs, and ask questions when you don’t understand
- Don’t stress over interrupting others. Don’t do it on purpose, but over video calls it’s a common occurrence
