Jordan Cahoon is a rising senior at Kent-Meridian High School and is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate. She leads an autonomous robotics project, community service projects centered around education equality, and is the Associated Student Body Treasurer. This October she will publish an article about addressing stereotypes in the community in the Seattle Times as a Student Voices Columnist. Additionally, she plays Principal Oboe in the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association. In her free time, she enjoys painting with watercolor and baking pies.
As a vegetarian and an avid animal rights advocator, she wants to use genetic engineering to reduce the use of animals in the biomedical industry. In the future, she hopes to be an engineer working at a biotechnology company focused on sustainability. Next year, she hopes to attend engineering school at a research university.
