Amardeep Kaur is a Research Associate in Baliga Lab. She participated in various projects including sequencing portions of Chromosome 15 as part of the Human Genome Sequencing Consortium.  She applied different experimental techniques and used various software tools for systems-wide understanding of halophilic archaea Halobacterium salinarum. 

She also worked collaboratively to study Adaptive Prediction (AP) behavior of Saccharomyces cerevisiae where novel associations between two different environmental factors are being investigated. Currently, she focuses on experiments in different environmental conditions to understand the regulatory mechanism of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
