Other Projects
During our time at ISB, we worked on two projects in addition to our curriculum optimization. The first, an ongoing research project on bacterial growth and mutation rate in space, took the form of a series of experiments on E. coli in simulated microgravity and E. coli and Halobacteria in high gravity. The second involved the development of R-script for Halo-optimized analysis of growth curves for use with lab-wide data. These projects provided an opportunity to be exposed and contribute to the research taking place within the Baliga lab.
