The Baliga laboratory conducts studies to further explore prokaryotic organisms. They are currently focused on interpreting the complete gene regulatory circuit of the archaeal halophile Halobacterium NRC-1. At this time they are working on the following ongoing projects:

  • Study of cellular responses to extreme environmental factors
  • Transcription Regulatory Networks
  • Development of Gaggle and data standards schema Software solutions for systems biology data standardization, integration, and seamless exploration
  • Regulatory network inference
