During the summer of 2005, we were lucky enough to join the halo research group as interns at the Institute of Systems Biology. Together with teachers and scientists, we worked to improve and finalize a science lab curriculum to be taught in the Bellevue School District. This was a valuable learning experience for us. Throughout the internship, we conducted labs which taught us how to use scientific tools, introduced new ideas and concepts, and provided us with a better understanding of what its like to work as a scientist.
